The Hobbit
This was one
of the books in this challenge that was much more to my liking. Unfortunately
my brand new game Skyrim (EPIC!) had arrived and a lot of my spare time was
going into that. But I finished the book all the same and managed to enjoy it as
normal. I really enjoy the sci fi and fantasy genre and this book was not a let
down to its relations.
The story
focuses on a group of fourteen, thirteen dwarves and a hobbit. The hobbit Bilbo
Baggins is the hero of the story and discovers many things about himself and
Middle Earth on his journey to the lonely mountain to claim the treasure of
Smaug the last of the great dragons.
My favourite
character in this story is Gollum. When he talks to himself and how he says it,
he creeps you out to no end. He and Bilbo have a competition where they take
turns to tell riddles and whoever cannot answer the others riddle first, loses.
All the
characters in this book are brilliant the story is fantastic and the ending is
well written. I hope everyone who reads the book enjoys it as much as I did
99.9/100
